How to be Saved

Even though we would love for you to visit our church, we want you to understand that attending our church will not save you or get you to heaven. If you died today are you 100% sure that you would go to heaven? The Bible tells us that we can know this for sure and forever!

First, you must realize that we are all sinners.  The Bible tells us in Romans 3:10 that There is none righteous, no, not one meaning that nobody is perfect.  Romans 3:23 shows us For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God which means that because we are not perfect, no matter how hard we try, we can never be good enough to get into heaven by ourselves.  As a matter of fact, Romans 6:23 tells us that there is a punishment for our sin when it says For the wages of sin is death.  Revelation 21:8 shows us that this punishment is hell, when it says But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone.  The good news is that Jesus Christ died on the cross and shed His perfect blood for our sins.  Romans 5:8 says But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  Nothing we can do, ourselves, can save us from hell according to Ephesians 2:8,9 which says For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works lest any man should boast. Baptism does not save, church attendance does not save and living a good life will not save you either.  Both Ephesians 2:8 and Romans 6:23 tell us that salvation is a gift of God which means that we can accept His free gift by putting our faith and trust in Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross for our sins.  John 3:16 says For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  The only way to get saved and obtain God’s free gift of everlasting life is to ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and ask Him to come into your heart and save you.  Romans 10:9,10,13 says That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.  That means that you can pray and ask the Lord to forgive you and save you!   If you have any questions or would like to know more about salvation (or what God expects after salvation) please come and visit us or contact us!
